- 5 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into thirds (makes 15)
- 2/3 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- Pillsbury Grands Golden Layers Buttermilk biscuits (as many as needed)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons water
Heat oven to 375°. Mix sugar and cinnamon in medium sized bowl. Roll apple pieces in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Flatten and stretch each biscuit and wrap around apple pieces. Press and pinch seams shut. Dip in melted butter and roll in cinnamon-sugar to coat completely. Place seam side down in ungreased 12″x8″ baking dish or 9″ square pan. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon-sugar over biscuits. Add water to baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until deep golden brown.
