Hi there. I’m Gizelle.
Important things to know about me include, but are not limited to:
- I’m a pastry chef in Chicago. It’s my dream job and I never knew it till I had it.
- 90% of the time my mind is on food.
- The other 10% of the time it’s on sleep.
- Go Bears!
- My boyfriend Eric makes amazing food without even trying. I like when he cooks and I drink wine.
- Chicago has an incredible restaurant culture and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.
- My mom is an awesome cook and all around classy lady. Hi, mom!
- I can make Italian buttercream in my sleep, but I still love to eat store bought frosting with a spoon, straight from the can.
- I’m absolutely passionate about what I do and everything I make has a little part of me in it. Figuratively.
- Sucker for: fresh ginger, English cider, pastry cream, after work naps.
